We like feeding people. American Lunch is an extension of that.

American Lunch is a 501(c)(3) organization, founded in July 2012 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Chatham Morgan, then a student at the University of Alabama, realized that many people in need of a healthy meal do not have access to reliable transportation. Our food trucks allow us to deliver food where it is most needed.

American Lunch trucks operate in every town where we own restaurants. The food is prepared in health department approved, professional kitchens and transported throughout our communities. One percent of all sales from our restaurants are donated to American Lunch to help with operating costs. Our family of restaurants has been fortunate to stay in business for more than 40 years. Providing free lunches is something we are happy to do.

In a world filled with contentious debate and animosity over numerous social and political issues, no one can deny the need to afford healthy food to people who are hungry. One thing we should all be able to agree on is that people in need of a meal should be able to get one. We do not ask any questions. We feed anybody who is hungry.

We currently operate American Lunch in Mobile, AL., Tuscaloosa, AL., Birmingham, AL., Athens, GA., Destin, FL. and Pensacola, FL. We were here before the COVID-19 virus and we’ll be here when it’s gone.

All donations are tax deductible.
